A few months ago, the next door place was rented to some guy who might do oil tank installations, or haul junk… or something. Let’s call him, “High Risk Harry" as his junk collection work includes high risk people.
Vikings are the Norse seafarers who populated Scandinavia and made forays into Northern and Central Europe, during the late 8th to late 11th centuries. For all of their reputation as marauding, bloodthirsty hoards, their impact on European culture and that of North America was surprisingly deft. (yep, that's a Buddha).
Three forms of governance: absolute chaos, perpetual tuning, and smart systems. The prospect of expert systems handling the mundane pieces of governance would be fantastic. It would be nearly fair, it could even potentially be easy to administer and easy to access.
In a big town, you can choose who you share your toys with. In a small town, one guy can run the whole toy chest. We have a dearth of options available in many situations. We are then presented with the illusion of choice and urged to choose.
My Personal Stuff
Americans would have gone to war on news that the Russkies messed with their election process. Nowadays, 65-millions of them cheer on their installed president. But the wall is coming down! We'll have to see how far this goes. The crest of fake news and damaging ads in our Facebook feeds may have had a heavy influence on swinging voters.
Thoughts, Growth and Personal Stuff
I like the idea of the future. The future has cool gadgets! Gadgets and thingees! How could I think the future will pay off and no take the F out of SF? How could I get a job writing about the science to come? Heck, I could become a futurist.
