I think that respect, like shame, is an emotional prompt that doesn't do much good. It becomes a flag without a nation; or a homeland made out of smoke. The truth is: respect is the last warning marker before people try to plunge into the dominion of your self and annex who you are and subvert your goals.
People love Jack Kennedy. I think the nostalgia comes from his missing 4th year in office. We fill that bucket with wishes and magically forget that could have been a year of scandal or political quagmires. The mundane is the enemy of the memorable.
There’s something about monkey movies. King Kong and Planet of the Apes are movies that no matter how many are done, people seem to have the appetite for just a little more of the same regardless of whether it's good or bad.
"It's looks like you work out of your kitchen and your wife doesn't even commit to the business." That was a mean, biting critique of my business' about us page. It was also totally honest and necessary.
My Personal Stuff
Americans would have gone to war on news that the Russkies messed with their election process. Nowadays, 65-millions of them cheer on their installed president. But the wall is coming down! We'll have to see how far this goes. The crest of fake news and damaging ads in our Facebook feeds may have had a heavy influence on swinging voters.
